The Eye Surgery Center of Elizabethtown is seeking a skilled Ambulatory Surgery Coordinator to join our team. As an Ambulatory Surgery Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, including coordinating breaks, lunch schedules, and daily log checks. You will also be responsible for supervising and directing patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment, and participate in training new staff when needed.
- Facility Operations: Coordinate breaks and lunch schedules, enforce policies, and ensure adherence to Federal, State, and accreditation standards.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required, Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of Charge Nurse/management experience required, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), and/or hospital.
- Licensure: Valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
