Hours:
- Full Time
- Our surgery center is open Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:00pm. You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.
- No late nights, weekends, or on-call shifts
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Charge Nurse/management experience required, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), and/or hospital
- Experience managing a team of at least 20 direct reports is preferred
- Must have previous Nursing experience in at least one of the following settings: Operating Room (OR), ASC, Pre-Op/Post-Op, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- At least 1 year of experience with infection control preferred
- Favorable result on Background Check required
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
Language Skills/Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of NextGen Database software and Microsoft Word
- Printer, copier, telephone, and fax
- Knowledge of patient monitoring and emergency equipment
Physical Demands:
- The employee must be able to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally be able to push up to an excess of 200 pounds
- Occasionally be able to pull/lift patients with the assistance of other personnel and/or assistive devices, up to an excess of 400-500 pounds
- Occasionally be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb
Accident or Health Hazards:
- Exposure to needle sticks possible
- Blood-borne pathogen risk classification category #1
Working Conditions:
- Works in well-lit and ventilated surroundings including operating rooms, nurse's stations, procedure rooms, lounge, etc.
