Overview
At the Eye Surgery Center of Elizabethtown, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Department Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure high-quality patient care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating breaks, lunch schedules, daily log checks, and enforcing policies. Additionally, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment, and participate in training new staff when needed.
- Team Management: Supervise and direct patient care, coordinate breaks and lunch schedules, and enforce policies.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and accreditation standards, and immediately report any unusual occurrences to charge personnel.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required, Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of Charge Nurse/management experience required, preferably in an Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), and/or hospital.
- Licensure: Valid Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
