Medical Office Receptionist/Patient Experience Coordinator
Eyecare Associates of Osawatomie is looking to hire a Receptionist to help us provide excellent care to patients. Experience being a part of our office family, where you'll develop lasting relationships with patients and be supported in all aspects of your life while working with us! We have family-friendly hours (NO weekends or holidays), a dedicated lunch hour each day, and no experience is needed! The receptionist is a full time position, helping patients with their complete journey – providing their first and last impressions of the practice.

Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma
- Interest in the medical field and caring for patients
- Basic computer skills and typing ability
- Willingness to learn a large amount of medical knowledge and terminology
- Dedication to teamwork and thoroughness
- Previous reception, medical, or optical experience is helpful but NOT required – we will train the right candidate on all aspects of the job through our comprehensive training program
Primary Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients into the practice and completing check-in
- Answering the phone for patient questions and scheduling
- Managing office communications through text, fax, and email
- Verifying insurance benefits for medical and vision plans
- Confirming upcoming appointments
- Completing patient check-out and collecting copays
- Presenting product and service recommendations made by the doctors
- Performing end-of-day financial reports/closing the books

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
