Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual with a strong work ethic and excellent people skills to join our team as an Optician. In this role you will play a vital part in assisting our patients in selecting and dispensing eyewear. Experience is preferred, but it’s not required. We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning. This training will allow you insight into an industry that delivers our patients a best-in-class experience to help them see and live their best lives. We want every patient to have a 5-star experience, and this role is a key person in creating that experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service (patient comes first)
• Assist patients in selecting eyewear to meet their needs and style
• Educate patients about lens options and doctor's recommendations
• Use measurement devices to custom fit eyewear
• Be familiar with and educate patients on vision benefits
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate patient records in office software/EHR
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with the doctor and team members to provide an extraordinary patient experience
• Communicate and demonstrate the Eyecare Specialties values and brand philosophy while working with patients
• Participate in other office duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ABO certification or the goal to achieve certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
