We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Front Desk Receptionist to join our optometry office. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and be able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering Phone Calls: Manage incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and directing calls to the appropriate staff members as needed.
- Scheduling Appointments: Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring timely scheduling while considering availability and office hours. Provide patients with appointment reminders and follow up as necessary.
- Pulling and Preparing Patient Charts: Retrieve and prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information prior to appointments, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies. Confirm eligibility and benefits with insurance providers as needed.
- Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Greet patients upon arrival, collect necessary paperwork, and guide them through the check-in process. At checkout, schedule follow-up appointments and provide instructions for any necessary aftercare or next steps.
- Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records. Assist with other office duties as required.
