The VP, Professional Affairs ensures exceptional patient healthcare through Eyemart Express’ employed OD practices. Will act as the liaison with the independent network doctors. Additionally, this position will attract, onboard, and support new doctors hired into Eyemart Express’ network.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for doctor practice P & L in all employed Doctor Locations (~25 locations).
  • Deliver improved patient and provider experience through best-in-industry clinical value proposition to promote doctor recruitment, engagement, and retention.
  • Drive financial growth (EBITDA) opportunities thru affiliated clinical models.
  • Create clinical standards of care for employed locations.
  • Develop industry relationships and elevate brand presence in external clinical community.
  • Collaborate with HR to help attract and recruit new doctors.
  • Support onboarding and retention of new doctors hired into the network.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities :

  • Doctor of Optometry.
  • Ten or more years of experience with clear progression to senior leadership / management roles, leading a motivating cross-functional interdisciplinary team to achieve strategic goals.
  • Experience in population health and / or disease management. Experience in the relationship between eyecare and overall systemic health issues preferred.
  • Viewed as the leading expert and / or resource within the field by peers within and outside the organization.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and program / project management skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level.
  • Ability to be a thought leader internally and externally representing clinical and non-clinical environments.
  • Ability to build strong and sustainable trusting relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
  • Strong communicator. Ability to present information clearly and concisely to various audiences.
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information and act as a liaison between the business leader and other constituencies, both internal and external.
