Job Description
EyeProGPO (EPG) Member Support Specialists are the primary point of contact for the external and internal teams and are responsible for developing long-term member/vendor relationships and connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. They are our liaison between external members, vendors, and internal teams, working to ensure that projects are on time and deadlines for solutions are met according to member and/or vendor needs. An EPG Member Support Specialist must have superior member service skills and expertise in managing member relationships. They need excellent problem-solving skills and must be able to cater to the needs of the members without sacrificing the needs of the EPG. Member Support Specialists work across many states and, on rare occasions, may need to travel to our member facilities to meet with clients or attend trade shows.
EPG Member Support Specialists work with members daily and are responsible for understanding their needs and resolving issues as they arise. They must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Critical traits for success include excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills, plus the ability to prioritize tasks to meet member/vendor deadlines.

· Confidence, persistence, determination, the ability to easily build rapport with a wide variety of personality types, and the ability to actively listen to member/vendor needs to help properly deliver solutions.
· A Member Support Specialist collaborates cross-functionally with colleagues, senior leadership, and external members (members, vendors, and GPO partners) to execute and achieve revenue growth objectives.
Responsibilities
· Lead virtual and in-person meetings to develop an understanding of a member’s needs and share details of EPG’s core capabilities.
· Develop business relationships within member accounts through regular meetings, phone calls, and networking events.
· Support business and account development, including sales/lead generation and contacting prospective members.
· Perform sales data analysis to assist key member/vendor accounts.
· Communicate cost increases, decreases, discrepancies, and related information, as necessary.
· Maintain awareness of industry best practices, business, and technology trends to develop a strong business aptitude for a consultative approach with clients.
· Gain a solid understanding of the key priorities of the member and vendor partners and align efforts to support those needs and objectives.
· Work with vendor partners on executing new item launches and reformulations of products.
· Request, maintain, and update member/vendor electronic records.
· Work collaboratively with internal and external EPG teams.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting, as well as independently.
· Strong computer skills, especially within Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
· Willingness and ability to travel (<5%).
· Member services or sales-related experience is preferred.
· Business development and professional selling experience within the healthcare industry are a plus!
· Track record of successful experience with new account development or large account management a plus!
· Experience with CRM (ZoHo or Salesforce) a plus!
