Key Responsibilities:
- Create a Nurturing Learning Environment: Develop lesson plans and activities that are tailored to the developmental needs of learners, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth.
- Project-Based Learning: Guide students through hands-on projects and STEM challenges that foster problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Badge System Implementation: Support students in achieving badges that reflect mastery in core subjects such as math, science, social studies, and literacy.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with other educators and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning experience for all students, including planning cross-curricular projects and activities.
- Community Engagement: Partner with families and community members to create a supportive network for student learning and development.
- Assessment and Reflection: Regularly assess student progress adjusting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience teaching young children, with a preference for those who have experience with project-based learning or STEM education.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with children of varying abilities and learning styles.
- Familiarity with individualized learning plans and assessments.
- Comfort with using technology in the classroom.
