We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician to join our outstanding team at Eye of York in York, PA. Our ideal candidate is already has Ophthalmic Technician experience Or is already certified Medical Assistant/Ophthalmic Technician. Experience working as an ophthalmic technician or scribe is required.
Hours: Monday-Wednesday7:30 am-4:30 PM; Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 am- 4:30 pm; Friday, 7:30 am- 12:30 pm.
No Weekends!
Responsibilities
• Take medical histories and verify information• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements• Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam• Explain how to use eye drops or other medications properly• Explain how to use contact lenses properly• Assist with clinical supplies and clinic functionality.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.• Experience with EMR tools a plus.• Proficient with MS Office tools (outlook, excel, word).
