Job Description:
Basic Function: The Optometry Administration Assistant, serving as the Front Desk & Call Center Associate, plays a crucial role in patient support, insurance coordination, and administrative tasks. This dynamic position involves handling various responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the front desk and call center operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Assist and educate patients on insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Call Center Operations: Manage incoming calls, schedule exams, and confirm appointments.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information and process insurance payments.
- Administrative Duties: Update and maintain accurate patient contact information, assist with referrals, and contribute to general office support.
- Multilingual Skills: Spanish or French Creole speaking abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a medical or optometry office is preferred.
