Position Overview:
As an Optician at Eyewear Junkie, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients select the best eyewear to suit their lifestyle and vision needs. You will combine your expertise in optical products with excellent customer service to provide a memorable experience for each customer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about eyewear and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Consultations:
- Provide expert advice and personalized eyewear fittings, including helping customers select frames that fit their face shape, personal style, and vision needs.
- Lens Fitting & Adjustment:
Accurately measure customers’ prescriptions and ensure the proper fitting of lenses in chosen frames. Make adjustments to glasses to ensure proper comfort and fit.
- Product Knowledge:
Stay up to date on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and advancements in optical technology. Educate customers about lens options, frame materials, and care for their eyewear.Meet and exceed sales targets by recommending complementary products, such as lens upgrades, frame care accessories, fashionable sunglasses, 2nd pairs and work glasses.Maintain the eyewear inventory by ensuring frames are properly stocked, organized, and displayed. Handle stock returns, damaged goods, and inventory audits.Process customer orders, handle customer billing, and update patient records using our point-of-sale system. Coordinate with laboratories and suppliers for lens orders and repairs.Work closely with other team members to maintain a positive, team-oriented environment. Participate in training programs and share knowledge to improve the store’s operations and customer experience.Benefits:
