Due to continued success, we are in need of a Concrete Finisher to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
Finishing Concrete Surfaces:
- Smooth and level concrete using tools like trowels, floats, and screeds (both hand-held and power-operated).
- Create desired textures and finishes on concrete surfaces.
- Apply curing and sealing compounds to protect and enhance the concrete.
Form Construction and Placement:
- Check and set concrete forms to ensure proper pitch and depth.
- Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
- Remove forms after concrete has set.
Monitoring and Adjusting:
- Monitor the effects of weather (heat, wind, cold) on the curing process.
- Adjust concrete as needed to achieve desired results.
Other Duties:
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform repairs and resurfacing of existing concrete.
- May install fixtures like anchor bolts and steel plates.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in the construction industry, preferably with concrete work.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in concrete finishing.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks.
- Attention to detail for achieving smooth, level, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and curing processes.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
