What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Lead position at EZ-ACCESS, a dba of Homecare Products, Inc.?
The Inventory Control Lead is a full-time, lead position responsible for working with and assisting the Inventory Control team by helping to plan, organize, process, and monitor inventory levels while adhering to current Company policies, procedures, goals, and expectations. The Inventory Control Lead is often assigned difficult time-consuming projects that would otherwise prevent other team members from completing their daily tasks. The Inventory Control Lead will also be relied upon to assist the Inventory Control Supervisor with daily operations support to promote inventory accuracy and management via cycle counts and error free transfers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain exceptional communication with Inventory Control Supervisor on status of all work and projects.
· Perform daily inventory cycle counts and basic material audits.
· Assist with receiving to verify material and ensure it conforms to company specifications.
· Track inventory at all sites and work with other inventory personnel to ensure accuracy.
· Assist with audits of all raw, sub-component, and FG material to verify staying at the correct levels.
· Research discrepancies encountered in cycle counts and audits.
· Assist with the semi-annual physical inventory process, counts, and reconciliation.
· Verify scrap log for accuracy and work with Inventory Control Supervisor to adjust GP for inventory related transactions.
· Monitor Min’s and Max’s of raw, sub-component, and finished goods are staying at the correct levels and communicate with scheduler if changes are needed.
· Investigate issues with negative inventory.
· Obtain company forklift certification.
· Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
· Work with Receiving/Transfer Clerk to ensure accuracy of transfers.
· Become familiar with all parts, shapes, and item numbers.
· Help promote and encourage HPi Corporate MVV values throughout department and company.
· Work constructively with other employees to help solve issues as they arise.
· Accurately enter all inventory adjustments in GP for Inventory Control Supervisor to approve & post.
· Assist with returns when needed.
· Assist with moving material around the buildings, putting material away, and updating iFinder when needed.
· Reconcile GP and iFinder to help ensure accuracy of both tools.
· Back up all Inventory positions when needed.
· Other duties as assigned by Management.
