Regional Supervisor

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide technical leadership and management support to operations management

team and technicians who have the responsibility for day-to-day operations and

maintenance of the Data Center support systems (ventilation, electrical distribution

system, security, etc.).

· Rapid response, investigation, and management of emergency situations and quality

complaints.

· Secure/contain area, assess cause and extent of damage, take appropriate action,

and develop action plan/next steps for remediation.

· Evaluate, report, and follow up with business unit and district offices, property

management, and facilities management.

· Ensure compliance with all EZB and governmental related codes and regulations such

as OSHA, EH&S, NEC, etc.

· Ensure that all technical work is carried out according to code and Tier I Data Center

standards and that all work is in compliance with the Data Center owner’s or client’s

requirements.

· Escalate issues to appropriate management when necessary to minimize service

interruptions and control project outcomes to align with the agreed-upon budget,

scope, and timelines.

· Leads and manages projects and a team of datacenter staff, supervisors and network

engineers. Present and explain issues, metrics, Change Management, reports and

findings to Management.

· Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the

development and maintenance of staff competence.

· Represents the department at planning meetings, ad-hoc workgroups, committees

and councils. Assists with Deployments during emergencies

· Works closely with Deployment Manager during build out and startup of facility.

· Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Strong leadership and team building skills.

· Flexible and fluid personality to adapt and adjust to the fast pace of a startup technology company. Five years’ experience in the technology field is desired.

· Proficient with Web Based Programs, Excel, and Word Processing.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Basic product knowledge of blockchain and network equipment.

· Works well with others and has a strong work ethic.

· Bachelor’s degree.

· Strong I.T. support background preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin.

· Experience with data center management.

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.

· Five years of experience with data center equipment/environments and start-up/commissioning processes, including electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, and fire safety systems.

· Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving objectives within set goals.

· Experience managing vendor relationships.

· Good understanding of network, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.

· Management experience.
