Moving Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Movers to join our team. As a Mover, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional moving services to our customers. This position involves transporting goods, loading and unloading items, and ensuring the safe delivery of belongings to their new locations. Ideal candidates should possess strong customer service skills and be comfortable with manual labor.

Potentially drive vehicles to transport goods between locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Having good standing with Uhaul and the ability to operate a 26ft box truck is highly favorable. Occasionally we require Helpers who can operate a 26ft box truck with good standing with uhual to rent a truck and get paid as a driver and take the lead in the full moving process. This opportunity has a pay increase and can further be discussed later on.

Duties

• Safely load and unload items from trucks or vans, ensuring all items are handled with care.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks for efficient loading and unloading of heavy items.
• Loading and unloading dumpsters with trash and unwanted items.
• Junk removal and hauling services.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during the moving process.
• Assist in packing and unpacking items as needed, ensuring that all belongings are organized and secure.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle used for transportation.
• Follow designated routes for deliveries while being flexible to accommodate changes as necessary.
• Provide your own tools in case of assembly or disassembly of household furniture.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 150lbs on a regular basis.
• Previous experience in moving or delivery services is highly desirable.
• Strong physical stamina to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor throughout the day.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and routes as needed.
• Have an (open-availability) schedule for this type of on call work. Some same day or following day work may be scheduled.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from each job site which is different every time. (An uber or lyft is not accepted. The bus route is not accepted.) You are not able to ride along so having a reliable vehicle is a 100% MUST.
