Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services in a professional and accurate manner
- Facilitate communication between individuals who do not speak the same language
- Interpret spoken or signed language into another language, maintaining the tone, context, and meaning of the original message
- Act as a cultural mediator, ensuring understanding and respect between parties
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
Experience:
- Fluency in at least two languages, including English and another language
- Strong verbal communication skills in both languages
- Knowledge of cultural nuances and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
- Ability to think quickly and make accurate interpretations on the spot
- Previous experience as an interpreter is preferred, but not required
