The Senior DevOps Engineer administers all Linux O / S based Azure virtual machines and is the Administrator of Oracle WebLogic Java Application WebLogic Server in Production and non-Production environments. The role requires the ability to provide technical guidance to the team and perform activities required to build, support and automate a large, complex cloud-based computing environment. This role utilizes best practices for the management, architecture, configuration, DR, administration and automation of the enterprise cloud environment.
What you will be doing :
- Work to grow and support cloud efforts
- Uses learned knowledge to create new infrastructure and environments
- Provides senior level expertise to the team
- Administratively operate and maintain Linux based servers and Oracle WebLogic Java Application servers installed on Azure Linux Virtual machines in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
- Evaluate, implement & oversee operating system’s & application servers’ : updates, patches and upgrade processes and strategies.
- Assists in the design, implementation and maintenance of complex solutions
- Coordinates activities with other technical teams and personnel as appropriate
- Develops and analyzes highly complex system standards, thresholds and recommendations to maximize system performance
- Maintains all server-side cloud and Security documentation to ensure compliance with the government's cyber security policy
- Develops strategies to manage the frequency of installations of the support package releases and patch
- Monitors cloud infrastructure and cloud VM system maintenance and provides technical recommendations for enhancement
- Research current systems technologies and serve as subject matter expert on cloud integration processes and procedures
- Provides technical know-how to internal and external personnel on highly complex cloud system administration and installation processes
- Shares knowledge and provides guidance to less experienced personnel
- Coordinates with stakeholders to formulate complex technical solutions
- Informs stakeholders of appropriate developments in technical support products
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the baseline VM images
- Provides immediate response to break-fix of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud VM assets
