Director of Software Engineering

• This is an onsite role, based out of Berkeley Heights - NJ

What you will do:

• You will lead a team of developers and manage their motivations while providing best-in-class experience to internal and external clients on reported incidents
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to improve the operational performance of product development team
• Oversee all production defects and ensure problem records are taken to closure within the committed SLA's
• Be ready to analyze the defect, deep dive into the code, data setup etc. along with the team with a hands-on approach, and work with Business operations, Integrations team to resolve client issues
• Drive process improvement initiatives across the organization to increase productivity and reduce client impacting defects, and ensure good quality fixes and no recurrence of the same issue
• Participate in production deployments and set up a cadence to perform post implementation validations to ensure zero deployment impacts to live clients
• Work towards reduction of resolution time to solve production code
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and maintain Operational Scorecard and KPI's

What you will need to have:

• Minimum 15 years of industry experience in leading team
• Minimum 10 years of Payment domain experience
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Java, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence, Spring framework (Core, MVC, AOP, Java NIO) with a minimum 5 years of experience in Spring Boot
• Experience in implementing high volume transactions processing applications and Agile methodology experience
• Experience in stakeholder management and managing production defect management
• Prior hands-on experience with Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Transactional and Spring Batch desired
• Experience on creating unit test using JUnit, Mockito and experience with Databases and code integrations such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL
• Expertise in implementing complex full stack solutions including digital and mobile systems, API, and Micro-Services in large Enterprise organizations

What would be great to have:

• Good to have experience in PCF or related cloud platform, API Management
• Good to have Experience on using Quality and Security scan tools such as Sonar, Fortify and Web Inspect
• Experience in Integration Testing APIs with Postman, and JMeter
