Key Responsibilities
- Deliver telecommunications-based projects in construction, dark fiber, lit transport, Internet service, and fiber to the home from creation to final delivery.
- Manage project database, ensuring input accuracy and proper output reporting
- Ensure project delivery teams are executing according to planned project timelines.
- Schedule project deliverables with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Host cross-functional project meetings to get weekly updates on project tasks and activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to retrieve updates and track projects and status.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure all project documentation is appropriately updated in data repositories.
- Perform general data mining when required.
- Learn and develop an understanding of all systems, tools, and processes (i.e., reporting, capacity, and ticketing tools, etc.) that support the workflow of projects. suggest improvements.
- Ensure that all projects are correctly invoiced.
- Ensure all contractual documentation is in place properly and executed, such as MSA's, COIs, telecommunications agreements, etc.
- Ensure projects are delivered on budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred but not required.
- 5 years of Outside Plant (OSP) Telecom Construction and/or Engineering project coordination experience required.
- Minimum 15 years of combined experience in OSP construction, fiber network deployment, and project management.
- Understanding of Project Management software and development of software for project reporting
- Strong understanding of the life cycle of fiber deployment from transport equipment to customer (highly preferred)
- Experience with GIS-based software.
- E xperience with an enterprise project management software platform such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheets, SiteTracker, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and explain how you stay organized
- Must be able to articulate your expertise and manage many fast-moving projects concurrently
- Must be able to track and report on milestones, what milestones are at risk, and why.
