Primary Responsibilities
Expense Analysis
- Assist in expense and capital analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, and finance to align financial objectives with business strategies. Provide financial expertise and support for decision-making processes across departments.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives and address specific business challenges.
- Provide third party expense summaries and analyses as well as identify areas of potential expense reductions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly Operating Report.
- Collaborate with the Director of Financial Reporting and other analysts to enhance reporting processes for improved business insights.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Partner with business leaders to gather insights for accurate forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance against forecasts and provide regular updates to management.
- Coordinate with Accounting to ensure accurate financial coding and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in all budget schedules gaining inputs from others as needed for revenue, expense, and capital to consolidate overall results.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Financial Reporting and other analysts to gather and refine budget and forecast inputs from business leaders
- Work with department leaders to understand their budget needs and ensure alignment with the company’s overall strategic objectives.
- Identify and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Project Management, and Accounting, to gather and analyze relevant financial data.
- Provide financial guidance and support to stakeholders involved.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in the telecommunications of FTTH industry
- Hyperion experience a strong strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software
- Ability to manage workload to meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
