The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for the execution of Human Resource operations. This includes recruiting, updating employee records, responding to employee queries, payroll administration, and ensuring HR compliance. By focusing on the above tasks, the goal of the HR Specialist is to ensure excellent employee experience company wide.
Responsibilities
· Maintain and update employee records, including new employee onboarding, compensation changes, and process terminations.
· Implement a full cycle recruiting strategy focused on filling open positions and anticipating future openings for CDL Drivers across several states and markets.
· Administer employee benefits and provide information regarding enrollment deadlines and plan options.
· Ensuring new employee onboarding is effective and that new employees have everything they need to be successful on their first day of work.
· Completes post hiring check ins with new Drivers, culminating with a 90 day follow up meeting focused on their experience as a new employee.
· Ensures all new Drivers have a detailed onboarding plan. Provides Operations managers with new Driver system credentials for various programs utilized by active Drivers.
· Collaborate with hiring a manager to ensure full understanding of job requirements and duties for all open positions, so that the HR Specialist can source and provide the best possible candidates.
· Supports Human Resource director with any investigations and employee relations concerns. Provides timely response to employee queries of the Human Resource department.
· Supports the weekly payroll administration process.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Excellent written communication skills.
· Able to multitask and work on several tasks simultaneously.
· Strong interpersonal skills, easily build rapport with others.
· Prior recruiting and interviewing experiences.
· Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
· Can maintain confidentiality, is trustworthy.
· Preference for an HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP but not a must.
· Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a plus.
Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
