Job Description: Lineman
Location: Anywhere, ME
Summary:
The Lineman position, per established policies and procedures, is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead and underground communication lines and auxiliary equipment, including work from the central office to the customer's home. This position will require the candidate to have a general knowledge of power and hand tool operation and maintenance. They must also be able to work under various weather conditions and not be afraid of heights or confined spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and infrastructure
- Work with fiber optic cables, copper cables, and other telecommunications equipment
- Climb poles and work at heights and confined spaces
- Work in all weather conditions
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Communicate with team members and customers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Candidate must have a valid State of Maine Drivers License - The position will require frequent and daily travel
