We are looking for the right person to join our team as an Estimator / Project Manager in Flooring Group. Is that you? If so, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities

An Estimator / Project Manager in our flooring group will review and prepare budgets, estimates, and solicit / evaluate quotes from suppliers / subcontractors for construction projects. Upon award, they will be responsible for the procurement of all materials for the project. A background with flooring is preferred, but not required.

Estimating Responsibilities

Must be able to effectively manage multiple estimates and proposals concurrently
Perform accurate and thorough quantity take-offs while using multiple software systems and web applications for estimating
Properly evaluate drawings, specs, and other bid documents for all involved scope
Conduct site visits, pre-bid meetings, and perform detailed scope evaluations for all trade work

Project Manager Responsibilities

Submission of all required samples, product data, and shop drawings for approval by the architect.

Review shop drawings and relay pertinent information to the field team.

Procurement of all project required materials.

Manage project costs and forecast / analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits.

Ensure all safety measures, procedures, and requirements are met, followed, and practiced.

Submission of record drawings, maintenance manuals & warranties to ensure a smooth and successful closeout.

Attend progress meetings throughout projects, as required.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

Required

Bluebeam (or similar) PDF viewer / takeoff software

Microsoft Applications (Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Education and Experience Requirements

Education : A.S. or B.S. in Construction or equivalent field experience

Experience : Minimum of 2 - 5 years general construction experience

Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrates excellent written and oral communications and team skills.

Must be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough.

Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe.

Demonstrates professionalism and pride of ownership in assigned responsibilities.

Demonstrates flexibility through changing conditions
