What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at F.B.C. Industries, Inc.?
Summary: The Quality Control Laboratory Technician has various job duties which include but are not limited to the following: laboratory testing of raw materials, environmental samples, work in process and finished goods, implementing and validating the HACCP/HARPC plan and adhering to GLPs.
Primary Job Functions:
- Ensure finished product meets or exceeds FDA/GMP, BRCGS guidelines, FCC and customer specifications
- Perform variety of analytical laboratory tests on in-process product samples and finished goods.
- Evaluate all quality data in order to ensure a quality product.
- Place non-conforming products on hold for further inspection and disposition as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment, supplies, and work environment
- Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Record data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate product CoAs and validate HACCP CCPs.
- Operate laboratory analytical equipment including HPLC, UV/VIS, Auto-titrator and Wet Chemistry Analysis.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school or some college level education with at least 3 years working in laboratory environment.
- User level knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.
- Food Defense Training/ HACCP/HARPC Certification. (Preferred)
- Possesses familiarity with basic chemistry, food science, and microbiology and strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. (Preferred)
