We are seeking a highly skilled and confident Bench Technician with 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating manual lathes, manual mills, drills, shears, rollers, and benders. Experience with soldering and welding a plus. This is a Master Craftsman Apprentice position, which will include guidance and mentorship. This position requires an individual that is proactive, eager to take on responsibility, and bring general manufacturing to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or sample parts to ensure accurate production.
- Utilize drill guides, drill jigs, weld jogs, and fixtures to produce precise components - should have knowledge of these tools.
- Take precise measurements for cutting, shaping, and assembly.
- Select and set up appropriate machines and settings for specific tasks.
- Use various measuring equipment such as calipers, scales, rulers, and micrometers to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
- Operate hand tools, including hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, squares, vise locks, and clamps - must be able to use these tools.
- Maintain focus on detail to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Position Requirements:
- Possess problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Maintain a health and safe work environment, report any health or safety hazards, and follow the Company health and safety rules.
- Must be able to take direction and follow through with assignments.
Physical Requirements:
- Must user proper lifting techniques and be able to lift up to 50 pounds /- or ask for as assistant as needed.
- Ability to perform essential physical job functions requiring: seeing, hearing, bending, standing for entire shift, walking, handling objects, pushing/pulling, and use fine finger movements with manual dexterity.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
