Company Overview: Fidus Global is a warehouse software solutions and full-service controls engineering firm in the process of growing our Spare Parts department. Our purpose is to assist our customers in solving problems via expert automation design all the way through execution and service.


Position Summary: The Senior MHE Technical Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) parts. This includes ensuring cost-effective procurement, supplier relationship management, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support operations. The role requires a strong technical understanding of MHE components, negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze market trends.


What you will do:

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for MHE spare parts and components. Components will range from commercial off the shelf parts to engineered components to meet the specs of existing MHE components such as pulleys, rollers, special belts, injected parts, etc.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost savings and timely deliveries.
  • Monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, and lead times.
  • Interpret technical specifications and ensure correct parts are procured.
  • Work closely with engineers and maintenance teams to understand equipment requirements.
  • Optimize inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
  • Manage ERP/MRP systems to track inventory and procurement status.
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors.
  • Negotiate contracts, NDAs, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to maximize value.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Analyze market trends and fluctuations in raw material pricing.
  • Develop cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards. Generate reports on purchasing trends, supplier performance, and cost analysis.

What you will bring:

  • 5 years in procurement, with a focus on MHE or industrial spare parts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MHE automated systems, and their components.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other procurement software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Move up to 40lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at desk working on computer and completing paperwork.


Job Location: Job will be Remote. Minimal travel may be required for training, visits to vendor or customer facilities. (5% -10% travel)


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
