If yes, then bring your talent and skills to F.E. Moran! We have an exciting opportunity in our Northbrook, IL office for an experienced Project Accounting Manager. As the Accounting Manager you will lead the accounting team, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintain compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
You Are:
- EXPERIENCED: Previous experience in Project Accounting or related field with an understanding of accounting principals, reconciling statements and payment records
- EDUCATED: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or certificate in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- KNOWLEDGEABLE: Advanced software and MS Office experience, specifically advanced Excel skills, including extraction of data, analysis, and report generations; knowledge of Penta/OnBase/Citrix software preferred
- ANALYTICAL: Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze, and problem solve to drive results
- ORGANIZED: Able to prioritize and follow up to manage multiple projects and deadlines
What you’ll do:
- BUDGET AND FORECAST MANAGEMENT: Oversee project budgets, monitor costs and forecast future expenses to prevent budget overruns
- BILLING AND INVOICING: Supervise the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to clients, and verify that all billing aligns with contract terms
- CONTRACT REVIEW AND COMPLIANCE: Review project contracts, including terms related to payment schedules, insurance, lien waivers, and bonding requirements, to ensure compliance
- COLLABORATE: Work closely with project managers and leadership to support financial and operational objectives
- TEAM TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP: Support and mentor project accountants, helping them understand project accounting standards, and company policies
