We have an exciting opportunity in the Chicagoland Area, for an entry level HVAC Project Engineer/APM to learn and develop skills while supporting our Project Managers in the planning, documentation, execution, and overall management for HVAC project success, from inception to completion. As our company continues to expand, we want you to grow and develop with us!
You Are:
- KNOWLEDGEABLE: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or relevant field or equivalent experience; basic industry and project management knowledge and previous experience in HVAC project management considered a plus
- EXPERIENCED: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have familiarity with construction / project management software programs
- A COMMUNICATOR: Effectively communicate both verbally and written to varied levels of audiences; ability to negotiate changes and resolve conflicts successfully to protect the company’s interest
- ANALYTICAL: Critical thinker with strong attention to detail; ability to problem-solve
- ADAPTABLE: Quickly adjust to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities under time constraints
- FLEXIBLE: Available as needed; travel to client sites; attend client meetings and events
What You’ll Do:
- ASSIST: Support Project Managers with equipment buyouts, estimations, submittals, RFIs, change orders, schedules, budgets, communication, close outs, and other aspects of project management
- PRIORITIZE: Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities, ensuring project deadlines are met
- COORDINATE: Point of communication for customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal coordination
- BUILD RELATIONSHIPS: Initiate and maintain trusting relationships with clients, promoting repeat business
- CONVEY: Communicate aspects of project to clients including changes in costs for the benefit of project results
- OBTAIN: Acquire the appropriate permits and licenses to ensure compliance
- SERVICE: Provide exceptional guidance and support to all stakeholders, partners, and team members
