Position Overview:
As the Project Manager, you are primarily responsible for project financials, schedule, risk management, quality, and client relationships and needs. This position is a managerial position responsible for contracts and/or work orders that reports to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Represent and demonstrate the values of F.H. Paschen: tenacity, versatility, ingenuity and pride.
- Responsible for P&L for projects assigned.
- Responsible for client relationships and ability to develop new business through new and existing clients.
- Create a project team atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork amongst its members.
- Responsible for the management of the entire project, including scheduling, purchasing, quality and safety.
- Ability to participate in preconstruction services, including estimating and value engineering.
- Supervisory responsibility for Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Construction Interns assigned to contracts.
- Collaborate and monitor Superintendent’s performance on contracts.
- Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners.
- Point of contact for project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers and more
- Understand details of project scope of work
- Create and maintain project cost reports.
- Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners Develop field quality assurance and quality control plan with Superintendent.
- Collaboration of project safety plan with Superintendent(s)
- Responsible for managing MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements.
- Responsible for EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Hour Options:
- General work hours are 7:30am - 5pm and 5-day work weeks are standard. Note that work hours and workdays may vary (changes, additions, etc.) based on critical work activities and/or required safety supervision.
- B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering and / or 10 years of construction experience.
- Experience in education, municipal, and mass transit markets is preferred.
- Experience running projects over $20mil
- Well versed in government and municipal contracts
- Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management.
- Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling, good communication and organizational skills are necessary.
