Field Canvasser

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Canvassers. In this role, you will engage with community members through door-to-door outreach, telemarketing, and various fundraising initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to promote our cause, gather valuable feedback, and encourage support for our mission. Duties

• Conduct door-to-door canvassing to engage with residents and promote our initiatives.
• Utilize telemarketing techniques to reach out to potential supporters and gather information.
• Effectively communicate our mission and goals to the public, fostering interest and support.
• Collect data and feedback from community members regarding their views and preferences.
• Assist in organizing fundraising events and initiatives to further our cause.
• Work collaboratively with team members to strategize outreach efforts and improve engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow up with interested individuals.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
• Experience in sales, customer service, or telemarketing is highly desirable.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader audience.
• Proficiency in negotiation techniques to secure support or commitments from potential donors.
• Familiarity with electioneering practices can be beneficial for advocacy efforts.
• Previous experience in supervising teams or projects is an asset.
• A background in fundraising or marketing can enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
