What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drywall Finisher position at F L Crane & Sons Inc?
F. L. Crane & Sons, Inc. an employee-owned specialty contractor with over 75 years of experience covering a wide range of finishing, metal panel systems and custom crating. We are based out of Fulton MS and operate 14 divisions throughout the southeastern part of the US. - Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints.
- Smooth out imperfections.
- Fill joints in-between panels with spackle.
- Press paper tape into compound.
- Smooth away excess material.
- Cover nail and screw depressions with spackle.
- Apply second and third coats of compound. Sand areas after each coast.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of building as needed.
- Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing as needed.
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
- Drywall Finishing Experience (required)

- Ability to finish drywall.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and with a work crew.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installing drywall.
