2nd Shift: Oven Lead Operator

Job Title: Lead Set-up Oven Operator

Department: Oven Production

Report to: Production Manager/Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Production Manager (medical and/or industrial), this position is responsible for a specific oven and the performance metrics associated with the oven. This position also receives technical direction from the Primary Production Supervisor.

Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities:

· Perform complete set up from start to finish (in front of oven & behind oven)

· Manage and monitor job from start to finish.

· Operate hand-held air gun on various ovens; lift racks on and off the oven in a fast- paced work environment

· Production, packing, counting, sorting, checking quality and quantity of parts, measuring parts, reading & filling out all production paperwork needed.

· Receive and follow instructions from either the Production Manager or Production Supervisor

· Complete required paperwork accurately and completely.

· Ensure boxes are labelled properly, all labels match, and brought to their proper location.

· Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area

· Responsible for leadership, training, and support to new employees during the training period

· Responsible for giving breaks to co-workers while ensuring the production process is running smoothly and in a timely manner

· Accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and 5S performance of their assigned area

· Ability to identify Nonconforming product for both variable and attribute defects.

Minimum Requirements:

· Has proven ability to work in a fast-paced production area

· Has previous experience as an oven operator and shows proficiencies in this area

· Displays a strong work ethic

· Demonstrates ability to perform all essential job functions and responsibilities in a satisfactory manner

· Must be able to read and decipher blueprints, and use a calculator and calipers

Skills and Abilities Required:

· Must possess strong math skills

· Must be able to lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time

· Must possess good hand-eye coordination

· Must be able to reach, twist, bend, squat, push, pull, and climb continuously as needed

· Must be able to work effectively in a shared work environment as a member of a team workforce

· Must possess and display good interpersonal skills when communicating to supervisors, co-workers, and administration

· Must be able to display strong multitasking and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment:

· Occasionally exposed to seasonal temperature extremes (heat, cold, wet and/or humid)

· Occasionally exposed to chemical substances and/or fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals (protective equipment available)

Job Type: Full-time
