Job Title: Material Handler/Inventory
Department: Material Handling – Production
Report to: Production Manager
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 6:30 am to 4 pm and Friday: 6:30 am to 10:30 am
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the daily activity as it relates to supplying the production ovens with their daily plastic requirements. This role is also responsible for inventory of plastic and associated record keeping. This position requires the operation of various forklifts. It also involves manual lifting and moving of barrels and other materials supplied to the ovens for production.
Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities:
- Verify incoming plastic inventory
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods while demonstrating safe work procedures and precautions
- Knowledge of safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials
- Take daily and weekly inventory of plastic and other materials
- Assist with good housekeeping standards throughout the production areas (organizing pallets, picking up cardboard, etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trained and experienced in Microsoft Excel
- Job experience preferred; minimum of 2 years warehouse and manufacturing environment or related experience
- Experience operating forklifts
- Must be able to speak, read, write efficiently

- Must be able to lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
- Occasionally exposed to seasonal temperature extremes (heat, cold, wet and/or humid)
- Occasionally exposed to chemical substances and/or fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals (protective equipment available)
- Occasionally exposed to plastic fumes from shrink-wrap & fuel fumes from forklift
- Noise level is usually moderate (hearing protection available)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
