Production Supervisor

We are seeking an enthusiastic problem solver and team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team as a Production Supervisor, in the Food Manufacturing industry. The Production Supervisor is responsibile for assisting the Production Manager in providing safery, quality and production leadership for all plant personnel. The Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a full roster ensuring that all line positions are manned and operated. Making sure that the line operates without incident or down time is the most important responsibility.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct plant floor line employees work quality, productivity and attendance
• Maintain production schedules, control production, and quality of production
• Must have contingency plan in place for ensuring shift coverage
• Train all current and new employees as necessary to meet customer specifications
• Set standards and ensures compliance to company policies and safety
• Provide oversight on quality control of finished product
• Work in conjunction with Supervisors and Line Leads to ensure cleanliness/sanitation of all production areas
• Implement new procedures and processes required and by management in relation to line operations
• Assist in all continuous process improvement projects
• Work with leadership team in achieving plant production, maintenance, distribution and quality goals
• Work with warehouse manager for inventory control (FIFO) of raw materials and finished goods as well as all shipping and receiving functions

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, including BOMs, routings, capacity, work orders, inventory control, and shop floor control
• Abides by GMPs, PC, HACCP, EMP, OSHA and USDA regulations as communicated by QA/QC
• Technical or Associate Degree preferred
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Organizational and planning skills, attention to detail
• Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Bilingual in Spanish is a MUST
