The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in attracting and retaining top talent in a competitive labor market. This role supports business growth by ensuring the company has the right people in place to meet production demands, maintain food safety and quality standards, and drive operational excellence.
SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, from job requisition approval to offer letter issuance, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring experience. This role also oversees the onboarding process to facilitate a successful transition for new hires, supporting retention and engagement in their initial months. Additionally, the specialist will manage the company’s internship program, fostering relationships with educational institutions and ensuring a pipeline of future talent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Hiring Process:
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process, from job requisition approval to offer letter issuance.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Source and attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and career fairs.
- Conduct initial candidate screenings, coordinate interviews, and facilitate selection processes.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through clear communication and timely updates.
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
- Develop and execute a structured onboarding program that enhances new hire engagement and retention.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings, background checks, and new hire paperwork.
- Conduct orientation sessions and support employees through their first 90 days.
- Partner with managers to assess new hire performance and address any early concerns.
Internship Program Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities, trade schools, and workforce development organizations.
- Coordinate internship opportunities that align with business needs and provide valuable experiences for students.
- Track intern performance and identify high-potential candidates for future employment.
Talent Acquisition Metrics & Reporting
- Track and analyze key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rates, retention).
- Provide reports and insights to HR leadership to improve hiring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and labor market trends to enhance recruiting efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in manufacturing, food production, or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition best practices, employment laws, and HR compliance.
- Experience using an ATS required and familiarity with Paylocity is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
