Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in fine dining and banquet settings. This role requires creativity, leadership, and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for menu planning, inventory management, and ensuring the highest standards of food handling and safety.

Duties

  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality control and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of guests.
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes served.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations at all times.
  • Assist in shift management by scheduling staff and ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and safety regulations.
  • Experience in menu planning and banquet service is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
