Duties
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality control and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of guests.
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Monitor food preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes served.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations at all times.
- Assist in shift management by scheduling staff and ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and safety regulations.
- Experience in menu planning and banquet service is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
