What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Fisherman position at F/V Suki?
- This job is for Southeast Alaska Commercial Salmon Troll Fishery
- Must be ready to fly to Alaska by June 25, 2025.
- Based in Sitka, Alaska. This job requires travel to port of Sitka, Alaska.
- Fishing season begins 07/01/2025 and ends approximately 09/15/2025. Expectation is to arrive at least 5 days before start of season and stay 5 days after end of season.
- Room at no expense, the vessel will act as primary means of living space.
- Pay is a percentage of total vessel catch, negotiated based on experience.
- This position is described as a commercial fisherman / deckhand
- The right candidate will be excited about working hard in a unique industry, be able-bodied, and maintain a high level of situational awareness.
- Commercial or sport fishing experience is not necessary but preferred. Excellent coordination is highly advised.
- The deckhand will be responsible for:
- Catching fish. Catching, cleaning, dressing, freezing, glazing, unloading all catch
- Building, maintaining, setting, running fishing gear.
- Vessel preparation, maintenance, cleaning
- Aid in piloting vessel
- Tying / Untying vessel

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $4,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
