The Technical Inside Sales Manager will lead a team of inside sales representatives responsible for engaging with potential customers, providing product and service information, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the inside sales team to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement inside sales strategies, sales processes, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to optimize lead generation and sales funnels.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics to assess performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure the team's adherence to company policies and best practices.

Technical Expertise:

  • Understand the technical aspects of the company's products and services, providing guidance and training to the sales team.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the sales team, assisting in solution selling and addressing technical inquiries from customers.
  • Partner with the product and engineering teams to stay up-to-date with new features, releases, and updates.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Engage with prospective customers to identify needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries or concerns and provide resolutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Work closely with the sales team to manage the sales pipeline and forecast future sales.

Team Development:

  • Train, onboard, and continuously develop the skills of the inside sales team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment that encourages growth and performance.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track sales activities and provide feedback on market conditions, customer feedback, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in engineering technology or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in technical sales or inside sales management (3-5 years).
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating sales teams.
  • Solid understanding of technical products and services, preferably in industrial electric interconnects and portable power distribution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and other sales management software.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
