What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRE-K TEACHER position at F.X. O'Regan Early Childhood Development Center?
The Franklin Public Schools, a prek-12 district, is seeking a skilled and experienced special education teacher to join the preschool team at the Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC).The teacher will work in an integrated model of service delivery offering academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical support to children with and without disabilities. The teacher must have experience and training with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
-Establish inviting and engaging preschool classroom that addresses preschool learning standards and individual student needs
-Provide positive behavior supports and interventions for children with and without disabilities
-Provide academic, physical, social, and emotional support and services
-Work collaboratively with early childhood team of teachers and therapists
-Collect data to measure progress against IEP goals and objectives
-Participate fully in the special education process to initial evaluation, IEP development, and progress reporting
Qualifications:
-Master’s degree in Special Education/Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
-Experience in early childhood education
-Knowledge of special education process
-Experience working with young children with a wide range of disabilities
-Able to take initiative and work independently
-Knowledge of early childhood development
-ABA training and experience is required
