Department Title: Undergrad Intern – FTT Investment Operations
Location: The intern candidate must be able to commute into the Rancho Cordova, CA, San Ramon, CA or Ft. Lauderdale, FL office each week.
Position Summary:
Our team is responsible for supporting Investment Operations (FTS) back-office systems. Our department specifically deals with these systems, platform architecture, and digital transformation.
As a team of architects, we deal with full stack application development, real time data integration and Data and Analytics in the cloud. We work with Data Scientists and build Data Pipelines for Data Science applications. We deal with modern tech stacks and cloud platforms like Python, React, AWS, Azure etc.
Interns selected to join our team have the option of completing certifications throughout the summer.
Team Culture:
Our team of senior Technologists, Architects, and Lead Analysts collaborate with teams throughout Franklin Templeton to formulate solutions that meet the needs of our Investment Operations business. Some of the areas we’re most focused on include
- Real Time Data Integration,
- Data and Analytics, and
- Algorithm Driven applications
An FTT Investment Operations Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to gain:
- Real life software development experience
- Understanding of software development life cycle
- Hands-on experience with cloud databases (SnowFlake)
- Exposure to specific languages (Python)
Key responsibilities may include:
- Data analysis
- Data modeling
- Solution design
- Coding and testing
Ideal qualifications:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related degree field
- Familiarity with databases and programming languages (Python/Java)
- Good communicator

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 37.5 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $28-34 USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
