Department Title: Undergrad Intern – AI and Digital Transformation (GOE)
Location: The intern candidate must be able to commute into the New York City, NY office each week.
Position Summary:
Goals-based Optimization Engine (GOE) is responsible for bringing innovative, award-winning goals-based optimization solutions to the workplace and retirement channels, driving retirement and wealth outcomes to financial advisors and their end investors.

An AI and Digital Transformation Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to learn:
- Global wealth and workplace industries GOE serves
- How to combine mathematical optimization with design thinking to develop products
- Brainstorm and define product features
Key Responsibilities Can Include:
- Assist in gathering and analyzing requirements from users and stakeholders to develop capabilities to advance GOE.
- Participate in planning sessions and prioritize features based on customer needs and business goals
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and research experts to brainstorm, define and document new product features and enhancements
- Assist in user acceptance testing, bug tracking, and quality efforts to ensure the developed features align with specifications
- Support the creation of presentations for stakeholder meetings and status reports that communicate the progress and next steps

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 35 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $34 USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
