Oracle Application Development Consultant - Remote
- This position is remote. Candidates must be located in the United States.
- We are seeking an experienced Oracle Application Development Consultant with a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining in-house applications for school systems using the Oracle APEX (Application Express) framework and Oracle SQL.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database-driven application development and a proven ability to create scalable, user-friendly solutions that meet the unique needs of educational institutions.
- Design, develop, and enhance Oracle APEX applications tailored for school system requirements.
- Write and optimize Oracle SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for efficient data processing.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional application features.
- Develop and maintain secure, high-performance applications with a strong focus on user experience.
- Leverage Java and JavaScript to enhance application functionality and improve interactivity.
- Integrate third-party APIs and ensure seamless data exchange between various systems.
- Provide technical documentation, training, and support to end-users and IT teams.
- Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of applications.
- Proven experience in Oracle APEX development for school systems or similar environments.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, including stored procedures, triggers, and database optimization.
- Experience in full-cycle application development (design, coding, testing, deployment).
- Familiarity with Java and JavaScript for front-end enhancements and system integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, RESTful APIs, and web services.
- Knowledge of educational software systems and compliance requirements in school IT environments.
- Understanding of modern UI/UX best practices in web application development.
