Job Overview:
We are seeking a Travel Project Technician to provide on-site and remote support during an ERP system rollout across multiple facilities in the East Coast and Central U.S. The role primarily focuses on hardware troubleshooting and end-user support, ensuring smooth transitions before and after go-live.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote end-user support for hardware-related issues during ERP rollout.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PCs, printers, scan guns, scales, and peripherals.
- Ensure proper printer setup, scanning tools functionality, and network communication.
- Learn and adapt to the client’s IT environment for effective troubleshooting.
- Maintain organizational efficiency by managing tasks and tracking progress.
- Communicate effectively with teams and end-users to resolve issues promptly.
- Work a fluctuating schedule, including some weekends (Wed-Mon), based on project needs.
Requirements:
- 2 years of IT support experience (Level 2 Technical Support).
- Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and peripheral device setup.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a project-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with end-users and technical teams.
- Willingness to travel 50-60% of the time to client locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting ERP rollouts or similar IT projects.
- Familiarity with network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Previous experience in a field service or travel-based IT support role.
