An Overview of the Head Coach Role
We are currently searching for a Head Coach (HC) with over two years of management experience. The position of Head Coach (HC) is the studio’s team leader in all manners of fitness. Alongside the Sales Manager, the Head Coach is responsible for driving all areas of the business with a special focus on growing the culture, community, and process of the fitness side of operations. The Head Coach will report to the Studio Manager.
The Head Coach (HC) is responsible for leading the fitness team, providing education, and providing daily direction and development. Head Coaches ensure a consistent experience for F45 members by focusing on customer service, fitness leadership, and member sales and retention in partnership with Sales Manager. Candidates should possess strong communication, administrative, leadership, and customer service skills. As a Head Coach (HC), you will be responsible for assisting with member retention and satisfaction, developing a strong team of fitness coaches, and serving as a primary resource for all matters related to F45 within the studio. F45 coaches must hold an active CPR/AED Certification, Primary NCCA approved certification, and agree to continued education.

- Scheduled Admin for One on One Time, Feedback, Consultations
- Coach at least 12 sessions per week
- Ensure compliance and adherence to F45 business policies in daily Athletic operations
- Responsible for delivery of the studio trial processes in conjunction with the Sales Manager (SM) hand off. These processes will include but are not limited to inbody scans, protocol reminders, and comprehensive planning sessions, and assisting in price presentations
- Facilitate frequent communication among all members of the team
- Coordinate with the Studio Manager (SM) to ensure proper communication between management and the coaching staff
- Weekly Updates: Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Studio Announcements, Coaches Announcements, Schedule Changes
- Monthly Updates: Prior Month Performance, Events, Webinars, Development, Evaluations, Studio Changes, Phase Roll Outs, Meetings
- As a Head Coach (HC) you must lead by example and conduct frequent facility walk-throughs (after sessions daily and with Studio Manager weekly) to ensure quality facility care and staff responsibility. Including: Equipment/Facility Logging and Audits.
- Demonstrate self-involvement in all studio activities (taking multiple coaches' sessions, events, socials, celebrations, theme-days, etc)
- Maintain and Grow Studio Workout Traffic, Usage, and Class Utilization. In conjunction with the Sales Manager (SM), meet and assess Key Performance Indicators (weekly).
- Must be available in case of a studio emergency; manage substitutions. Including substitution management requests
- Schedule and plan leadership meetings with the Studio Manager (SM).
- Meet weekly with Sales Manager and Studio Manager to discuss studio performance, sales, and operations
- Review month-to-date analysis: conversions, updates, and events, and discuss staff development opportunities at all staff meetings. Review and Discuss: feedback on sales, trial process, class experience, conversions, subs, time off requests, recruiting, and onboarding
- Coordinate local partnerships strategy with Sales Manager for the studio, adjusting as necessary.
- Plan and Execute: Coordination and Planning of: Challenges, Playoffs, Specialty and Signature Workout Programming
- The Head Coach (HC) is in charge of athletic audits, incident reports, performance reviews, and essential documentation. This includes management of coach certifications, CPR/AED, and ensuring all records are up-to-date, valid, and updated in F45 Playbook/Academy
- Member and Staff Relations: Work in tandem with the Studio Manager (SM) on Conflict Resolution
- Initiate, and conduct recruiting efforts for coaches: includes screening, outreach, and interviews
- Assist in marketing aspects with the Sales Manager. Including: partnerships, outreach, events, and business to business outreach
- Responsible for follow-up communication with the new, current, and former F45 members; includes low usage and at-risk members
- Empower and educate members with a clear understanding of our F45 Methodology and Athletic Programming
- Educate and develop the athletics coaching team through approved training curriculum
- Monitor member satisfaction to ensure a consistently evolving world-class fitness experience
- Manage the studios’ athletics staff using the F45 Methodology and Athletic Programming
- Mindbody Reporting and Scheduling: Ensuring proper documentation of notes, injuries, staff alerts, and class scheduling
- Class Schedule: 4 weeks out between Friday-Sunday (Holidays Scheduled Out) and no outstanding subs within one week of class

Accredited NCCA certifications provide a solid foundation for safe exercise participation, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and coaching. Obtaining this credential will enable us to continue adding value as the gold standard in franchise fitness and functional team training.
Must hold/maintain the following credentials: CPR/AED Certification, ONE NCCA Approved Primary Certification, F45 Trainer Certification.
The following national certifying agencies we accept include ACE, AFAA, ISSA, NFPT, AFPA, ACSM, NASM, NCSF, and NSCA.NCCA Preferred Certification: *CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), GFI (Group Fitness Instructor), GEI (Group Exercise Instructor)NCCA Acceptable Certifications: CSCC Strength and Conditioning Coach, CEP (Certified Exercise Physiologist), CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). A college degree in an exercise science-related field or any field does NOT exempt a coach or coach candidate from obtaining one of the required certifications. Furthermore, the fitness industry undergoes significant changes every year, and continuing education is a requirement for our professional coaches to ensure that they meet the industry's highest standards. Since college degrees do not require a recertification process or have an expiration date, F45 requires coaches to obtain an active NCCA Certification. A college degree in a fitness-related field is desirable, but not necessary for employment as a F45 coach.
Compensation: $40,000-$60,000
