Position Overview: As a Facilities Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our fitness studio. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and takes pride in contributing to the overall positive experience of our members.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitization:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Clean and sanitize fitness equipment, surfaces, and common areas.
- Ensure restrooms and changing areas are clean and well-stocked.
- Waste Management:
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Recycle materials in accordance with studio policies.
- Monitor and report any issues related to waste management.
- Maintenance Support:
- Assist in basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
- Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other staff to ensure a seamless and clean transition between classes and activities.
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager and other team members.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Facilities Manager.
- Adhere to cleaning standards and protocols outlined by the studio.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
Requirements:
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
