Friends4Life (F4L) is looking for Direct Support Professionals (Care people for people with disabilities) to join our growing company!
This posting is for House Manager at one of our residential settings near Sandy, Utah. F4L is dedicated to providing exceptional assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our clients need reliable, friendly people who help them achieve all they can. Our care team helps to ensure our clients live as independently as possible!
Below is a short description of how our residential program works
Our residential services offer the most flexibility in terms of hours as we provide services for clients in a home setting 18-24 hrs per day. You will work with 1-3 clients at a time to help them live more independently. Occasionally you will take clients out into the community for shopping or other fun activities.
Various shifts available: Morning: 9 am - 3 pm, Swing: 3 pm - 9 pm, and Grave: 9 pm - 9 am.
As House Manager (HM), you will promote the caring of our clients, which is our primary responsibility at F4L. They cannot care for themselves, therefore it is vitally important that the role we assume in this regard is taken very seriously. The HM role carries with it great responsibility, which is something that cannot or should not be passed to someone else.
Listed below are the duties we expect you to fulfill:
- Schedule and manage all staff for your house at Location
- Train and monitor staff in the fulfillment of their duties
- Ensure client specific needs are met as outlined within each client’s “Person Centered Service"
- Always be the first point of contact for parents, clients, and support coordinators
- Submit incident reports for any behaviors or incidents related to the clients (for some clients, incident reports should be submitted almost week

Be on-call to cover shifts as needed
- Managing each client’s needs specific to the following:
- Nutrition
- Personal Hygiene
- In Home Laundry
- Medication Distribution and Documentation
- Medical Care
- Client specific Daily Documentation
- Client specific Monthly Summaries
- Doctors appointments and visits
Qualifications:
- 2 years of DSP experience
- 1 year Residential House Manager experience
- CPR Certification
- Food Handlers Permit
- Current valid drivers license
- Problem solving
- Excellent communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
Wage & Perks
- Starting Pay $17.30 /hour depending on experience
- Flexible scheduling
- Morning, Afternoon/Evening, and Graveyard shifts available
