Role Description
Are you a wizard with a paintbrush, a maestro of materials, or a sculpting sorcerer? F5 Theming and Design is on the hunt for a Theme Artist, Faux Finisher, Sculptor, and Painter to join our merry band of creatives. In this role, you'll:
- Conjure up and apply faux finishes that would make even Mother Nature do a double-take.
- Sculpt and paint elements that transport audiences to other worlds, times, and dimensions.
- Collaborate with a team of imaginative professionals to bring ambitious concepts to life.
- Ensure every detail aligns with our high standards of quality and creativity.
Qualifications
- Willingness to travel and the flexibility to go where the magic happens—whether it's a theme park in the desert or a haunted castle on a hill (okay, maybe not haunted… probably).
- A portfolio packed with creativity—we're talking “turn-a-piece-of-foam-into-a-fairy-cottage” level brilliance. If you see blank walls as missed opportunities, you’ll fit right in.
- Eagle-eyed attention to detail—you notice when a dragon’s eyebrow is off by a millimeter and you’re not afraid to fix it. You can follow a design concept like a bloodhound on a scent.
- Knowledge of the themed entertainment industry is a major plus. If you’ve ever looked at a ride queue and thought, “I could make this way cooler,” we’re listening.
- Experience working across artistic mediums—from sculpting and airbrushing to paint layering, carving, or turning chicken wire into art (yes, that’s a thing here).
- A background in fine arts, set design, fabrication, or a related industry is awesome. Basically, if you've ever turned a wild idea into something real and people went “Whoa!”—we want to see what you can do.
- Experience in scenic art, faux finishing, sculpting, and painting (bonus points if you've dabbled in dragon taming or robot programming).
- Strong communication skills—because even telepaths need to talk things through sometimes.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where ideas bounce around like particles in a collider.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards—because we prefer our adventures to be injury-free.
