Role :
The Marketing Data Analyst acts as a key resource for the marketing department by driving data-driven decision-making and operational excellence at the credit union. This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to support marketing initiatives, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and business units to align with the credit union's strategic goals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to support marketing initiatives, drive business decisions, and identify trends.
Collaborate with business owners and other analysts to prioritize and guide relevant data analysis efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Cleanse, integrate, and transform data in a scalable manner using automation tools and programming techniques. Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and timeliness.
Develop and maintain databases and data systems that support cross-functional business needs, including the creation of data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.
Leverage SQL to query databases, extract relevant data, and conduct in-depth analysis to uncover opportunities and support decision-making.
Prepare and submit vendor data files for marketing initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
Stay current with best practices in marketing analysis, segmentation, and targeting, contributing to data governance initiatives to maintain data integrity.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements :
Ensure accurate, timely, and actionable insights are delivered to support marketing initiatives and decision-making.
Maintain and promote best practices in data analysis, segmentation, and targeting to enhance marketing effectiveness.
Ensure all vendor data submissions meet compliance and business requirements.
Drive efficiency in data processes through the effective use of automation tools and programming techniques.
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on interpreting data insights and using data-driven recommendations.
Support data governance initiatives to enhance data integrity and usability.
Demonstrate expertise in SQL and data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data analysis into broader strategic initiatives.
Continuously improve data processes and methodologies to align with evolving business needs.
To stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Controls ("OFAC") and all credit union policies and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills :
Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of job related experience with the are as of responsibility or a combination of formal education and experience. Ideal candidate will have a high level of credit union front and back office operations as well as analysis experience.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and / or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
Strong Knowledge of operations and lending processes and accounting and IT procedures including system software processes & procedures. Proven experience working in a team and meeting deadlines. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Expert level of knowledge on DNA and other related systems
