Autobody Helper
Fab-Tex, a busy truck dealer located in Bohemia, NY, is expanding its service team. We are currently looking to hire an Autobody Helper who is willing to join our growing team. Serious inquiries only - we will train the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of body work for all assigned vehicles.
- Knowing the status of assigned vehicles and assisting in problem solving to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.
- Painting vehicles which includes prepping, power washing, cleaning, sanding, sandblasting, masking tape, wrapping, covering, priming, bondo, and applying paper
- General assistance around the shop- helping other teammates, etc.
Requirements:
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, motivation, focus, and organization.
- Current and valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, but not mandatory).
- Must have great communication skills within a team environment.
- Can work in a face-paced shop without sacrificing quality of work.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are a representation of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- The employee is required to stand, walk, grasp tools, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit for an extended time period, lift/ move up to 25 lbs, and have good vision.
- Working conditions: Large facility, overhead cranes

No experience needed, start at $18-$23.00 based on experience
Schedule:
- Full Time Day: Mon - Fri 7am- 5:30pm
- 40 hours an average of 10 hours of overtime per week
Must live within 40 miles of shop
Work location: one location
